Shelby Raiser, DO

Dr. Shelby Raiser has been practicing at Thornville Family Medical Center since August 2005. She graduated from Hartwick College in 1998 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. She went on to earn her doctorate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She completed an internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio from 2002-2003 and residency from 2003-2005, and earned her board certification in family medicine through Doctors Hospital Family Medicine residency in Grove City, Ohio.
She has been on numerous boards over the years including: president of the Columbus Osteopathic Association 2012-2013, Chair of the Family Medicine department at Genesis Hospital 2013-2015, Board of directors for the Society of Alumni and Friends at Heritage College Of Osteopathic Medicine from 2014-2019, and 2021-current, and she also currently holds a position on the board for Physicians Group of Southeast Ohio since 2019.
Dr. Raiser and her husband live locally and enjoy all that Perry County has to offer. It is not uncommon to find them hiking, biking, boating and kayaking in the area.
